Fall Fashion ReportAccording to Tina Barry, a fashion stylist and writer, spring’s ruffle rich over-the-top peasant look has made way for more refined, understated styles and subtler details. Below are more of the trends to keep your eye on this fall.
Pick a Color: Look for items in hues like pumpkin, browns ranging from cocoa to espresso--accented with blue and pink, dusty pink, mauve, and greens like olive and khaki.
Divine Detail: A single, above the ankle ruffle was a popular silhouette for infant and toddler pants
Girl Must Have: A knit cap with crocheted details worn close to the head à la Ali McGraw in Love Story
Boy Must Have: A long-sleeve tee with a retro looking stamp of a number or sports motif like a bowling pin
Movin’ on Out: Glitter, Denim
